“Celebrating Children” module 2, “Key Issues in Listening to Children”:This module is divided in 5 sessions:
Session 1, examines they ways in which adults listen to children and on the importance of listening in finding the ways in which assistance can be delivered to children.
Session 2 focuses on the Convention on the Rights of the Child Article 2 that states that children have the right to speak and be heard and are capable of participating in their development.
Session 3 addresses this right of children to speak and be heard and suggests ways in which organizations can involve children in program and policy planning as well as talks about the pitfalls of participation.
Session 4 focuses on the much needed advocacy for children and suggests practical ways of designing advocacy activities. And finally
Session 5 discusses the ethical relationship in working with children and focuses on ethical ways in which caregivers can respectfully listen to children.”
When?
It will be conducted on January 21 to 23, 2008 in Bangkok and facilitated by Peggy Schmitt who is currently working with New Life Center Foundation in Chiang Mai. We will let you know soon about the venue and other related information.

What is the Cost: The cost of every Celebrating Children module is 500 Bath. You can pay it the day of the training.
The Project Planning Process Training (PPP)”
The PPP training incorporates the project cycle management methodology and well-known tools such as the Logical Framework. The training aims to simplify planning methods and to provide the organizations with a common approach and terminology.
As a result of this training, it is expected that:
• programme/project managers/officers will have the knowledge and tools to apply the PPP approach;
• the quality of programme/project proposals and their implementation and reporting will improve;
• planning standards and common terminology will be established;
• planning training will be tailored to the organizations, donors’ needs and requirements;
• in the long term, and after a certain period of training and implementing the PPP, the organization will improve their income generation and fund-raising, the quality of their programmes/projects and their reporting.
